Out and about.
Situated in the heart of the central belt, Dunblane has a number of attractions in and around it. Stepping outside Yarra Cottage you can turn right and walk the two mile route to Bridge of Allan down the disused road. Turn left and you can head up and over Sheriffmuir, the scene of a battle in the 1700’s, en route you can stop off at the Inn.
If you’re feeling more adventurous, head slightly further afield and ascend Dumyat, a hill at the western side of the Ochil Hills.
The town has a number of eateries, The Riverside, Another Tillys Tearoom, Mr. Singhs to name only three. There are a number of small independent shops including award winning butchers. Tesco, Marks & Spencer and the Co-Op are available locally for food shopping.
Dunblane railway station has excellent train links to Edinburgh and Glasgow and beyond. There is also a regular bus service opposite the railway station.
